We have started to offer open alpha access to a hosted Forgejo Actions CI runner. Unfortunately, there are many jobs that can crash the runner for every user reliably, and many users execute them inadvertently.
To save cost and disk wear, we want to keep temporary writes inside the CI builds in RAM and only store the images persistently.
However, the setup is apparently incorrect and we need help figuring it out.

Discovered WUD (What's Up #Docker) this week, and I'm impressed.
Similar to Watchtower (originally designed for the -arr stack) but instead of updating containers it focusses on granularity with monitoring and has All The Notification options (SMTP, Discord, Gotify, Pushover, etc, etc).
Helped me realise that my stacks are mission critical (to me), and lets me read release notes prior to upgrading, rather than wondering why X suddenly isn't working and trying to unbreak it afterwards.

So, versuche seit 5h #nextcloud in #docker vernünftig zum laufen zu bringen. Dann lief es, alles toll. Naja, bis ich aus Versehen die compose.yml gelöscht hab…
Insgesamt ist das ganze aber erstaunlich schwierig. Es gibt sau viele Edge-Cases, die Dokumentation ist sehr unübersichtlich und viele Lösungen habe ich nur durch Zufall im Internet gefunden. Kommerziell wollte ich diese Software nicht einsetzen und auch privat bin ich gerade stark am überlegen.
Kennt jemand eine gute Alternative?

För något år sedan köpte jag boken Linux systemadministration från grunden av Jack-Benny Persson. Jag har läst delar av den, och haft nytta. Jag vill läsa hela boken, men den går att läsa lite hoppigt som uppslagsbok.
