People seriously need to recognize that the #fedipact is about safety. It is not about not wanting larger companies in the fediverse. There is no one complaining about Flipboard or Tumblr joining because they do not have the possibility of making the fediverse and mastodon unsafe. Threads actively boost discriminatory speech and misinformation while suppressing minorities.
If they did not do this there would not be an issue. All threads will do is cause the fediverse to become another twitter.

Well admiring targeting a rich guy who apparently had their friends do gaslighting & steal from you ideas and run some psychological harassment tings against you that affected your health and finances is a very traumatic experience in an of itself.
Wealthy people have been know to collaborate against people by proxy, as you know, so keep an eye out for that.
I have noticed a trend of 5150 types and homeless who are used by proxy, since they already have a criminal record, to attack people, who they themselves were paid to do so. Usually that's from Meta.
You do have a LOT of Meta social media in your life so start looking there would be my suggestion. The app permissions on Threads alone, which you use, give them full access to your handset btw. Everything. Unlike mastodon clients or web browsers so keep that in mind.

i am writing a memoir about my time on the fediverse. starting from the earliest days in summer 2017 going all the way up to the present. it chronicles my journey from doofy wannabe techbro into the awesome gender terrorist i am today, and how fedi heavily influenced that transformation. it also talks about fedipact and threads and all that ofc
