PSA if you have a LinkedIn profile you may want to check your settings: it seems LinkedIn has auto-opted everyone in to train their GenAI. PLEASE BOOST 🔁

You can toggle the setting off but only via Desktop. Here's the direct link:

If you’re unfortunate enough to use #LinkedIn. They’re using your data for GenAI scraping and it’s turned on by default.

Go to Settings > Data Privacy > Data for Generative AI to turn off this setting.

→ Posting vulnerability on LinkedIn
journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.11

“On one hand, posting #vulnerability on #LinkedIn is a strategic form of digital #selfbranding, which monetizes vulnerability and #depoliticizes its meanings. At the same time, vulnerability posts have the potential to form a basis for #resistance to digital and #work cultures’ glorification of #overwork, individualized #resilience and self-sufficiency, and the constant pressure to #selfpromote.”

Note that #LinkedIn does not use content of members from the EU to train its generative AI 🙌 cyberplace.social/@GossiTheDog

For LinkedIn users, go to your settings, go to the Data Privacy menu, select the option "Data for Generative AI Improvement".
Flip that switch to off.

Closed my #linkedin account, not that I was doing much over there anyway. My profile was incomplete anyway, good luck training your AI on its limited data.

""We're making changes that give people using LinkedIn even more choice and control when it
comes to how we use data [...] People can choose to opt-out [...]"

LinkedIn again proving lack of understanding of the term "consent".
