@robin_kipp Thanks for your message! I'm now considering Matrix, but I was a bit skeptical about this product based on what I was seeing on #matrix and the fact that it is not as lightweight as XMPP.
Given the strong opinions I've seen about Matrix, I feel like I have not been exposed to the nuance that would led to go ahead with it.

The @kde app for matrix has gotten way better! Last I used it it would crash every other second.
@neochat lacks only one feature now and that's adjustable font-size, from an accessibility point of view.
Currently the app relies on the system size, but the system looks better and more readable at smaller sizes which isn't the case with a chat app.
