@wildwoila I run a family #Nextcloud on a Raspberry Pi5. My advice is grab it, install it, and see if it works in that laboratory space. Installation if pretty easy, and if you don't have a fixed IP, you can use one of the free dynamic DNS services; this won't run production, but you are up and running in a day and can judge for yourself!

My wife runs a small non-profit (<5 people) and wants my help to get them off Google Workspace for Nonprofits. They mainly use email, collaborative docs, calender and drive. I have limited spoons so the simpler the migration, the better. Any suggestions?
Options I've come across so far are #Proton, #Infomaniak, #Zoho and #NextCloud. Are any of these better/easier than the others? Happy to pay, but budget is not unlimited. I've a little experience with Zoho, but am not sure how good its privacy credentials are?
We are based in Australia but the host doesn't need to be here (EU or Switzerland, I guess).

@kaffeeringe @aoe @BjoernBeck Danke für den Hinweis! Habe das jetzt zum laufen gebracht! Man muss die Music App in der #Nextcloud aktivieren, und in deren Einstellungen „#Ampache“ aktivieren. Dort wird auch der für Amperfy benötigte Link und das Passwort erzeugt. In #Amperfy habe ich an verschiedenen Stellen noch Fehlermeldungen, aber die App hat viele Funktionen und sieht vielversprechend aus. Ich teste jetzt mal ob ich damit zurechtkomme.

What's you favorite #FOSS #Android app to backup photos?
I'm using #NextCloud hosted on Hetzner and just noticed somewhere between 25% and 50% of my photos never uploaded. Its random too I can take 20 photos in a row and some are just missed.
I've hear of ente or something and immich but haven't looked into them yet.

@kaffeeringe @BjoernBeck Habe als einen der ersten Schritte mal meine Hörbücher in MP3 in die #Nextcloud gelegt, damit die Familie was davon hat. Da ich keine Nextcloud App für #Hörbücher gefunden habe, musste ein Player mit den erforderlichen Features her (mehrere Bücher auf Vorrat laden, Lesezeichen merken). Auf iOS nichts kostenfreies gefunden, was auf Dateibasis „denkt und arbeitet“. Die kostenpflichtigen lassen meist nicht kostenfrei testen. Außer #Bookplayer… /2
