Built in the 1970s, #SBB🇨🇭#SwissExpress trains worked the most prestigious domestic services in Switzerland. Providing mainly open plan seating, a small portion in 1st class was organised in compartments though. They ended their career on regional trains for #BLS. Pictures from May 2018.

What a night! I didn't have so many phonecalls in a while during a bringing into service nightshift. I had 3 teams to coordinate. But we managed to replace 2 remote control systems and update 4 remote control cells. All systems are up and running again.

An #SBB🇨🇭#RABe501 #Giruno unit at #Basel SBB earlier today. These 250 kph #Stadler #SMILE high speed trainsets were primarily built for services passing through the #Gotthard base tunnel, yet they also seem to do more modest workings, like this #InterRegio for #Zurich.
