For those that use Telegram, what's your opinion about it's privacy policy?

I've used Telegram for years, and I've been coming to reconsider Telegram as my go-to messenger app, and a lot of folks I know also use Telegram, and getting folks to switch is difficult, and I've been starting to consider migrating over to Signal instead.

My biggest issue about the privacy policy is how Telegram responds to subpoena requests, but Signal does not because everything is End-to-End Encrypted by default so they have nothing to share when requested, but Telegram doesn't do this by default. But when it comes to making a switch to another app that has better privacy and does E2E you have to also take into consideration of the privacy of your peers also, because you're also leaking data about your peers as a contact. But you also could be putting certain minority of people in danger if they get subpoenaed by an unlawful request from an oppressive regime.

One thing that's probably keeping me on Telegram are the Stickers collection and GIFs, and I know Signal has support for Stickers too, but no easy way to import Stickers from Telegram into Signal. As for GIFs well... you just upload them as files to the chat, and doesn't have a repository of GIFs you can save and select from.
