If anyone is new to Bluesky and coming from #Threads - or still posting there - @openvibe.bsky.social is a really great choice for a mobile app! you can login with Bluesky & Threads and get your Bluesky timeline (not Threads for now) + post to both accounts at the same time!

@rob @rob I'm not sure what people mean when they say stuff like "save Mastodon," save it from what exactly? It doesn't have as many users but that seems fine.
If the 30 million+ users from Threads and Bluesky came over I think it's likely most of them would join mastodon.social which would I think quickly overwhelm the server.
I blocked #threads before it came out and it feels like we were right about the embrace, extend, extinguish worries.
They still don't have proper federation (users on Threads can't reply to replies from other instances), and that all the articles I find that mention both Threads and Mastodon seem to advocate people go to Threads and not the other way around. It feels like #Meta with Threads is acting in bad faith.
